The Pro Football Hall of Fame cut its list of Class of 2026 nominees to 26 and six have ties to Indiana. The list will be cut to 15 finalists, announced Dec. 3 and a vote will be held to determine who makes the Hall of Fame during the Super Bowl in February. Here's the list:
Drew Brees: The former Purdue superstar makes it in his first year of eligibility after a record-setting NFL career.
Frank Gore: The Colts running back broke the franchise's drought of 1,000-yard rushing seasons makes it in his first year of eligibility.
Robert Mathis: Mathis has the NFL record with 52 forced fumbles and made 123 sacks in a 13-year career, all with the Colts. This is the fifth time he's been a semifinalist.
