Mild temperatures early this week will give way to a frigid holiday, according to weather experts.
Rain will spread across Staten Island Tuesday as temperatures climb into the mid-50s, according to the National Weather Service forecast for the New York City area.
The precipitation will begin late Tuesday afternoon and continue overnight with moderate rainfall expected. Temperatures will remain mild, with Tuesday’s highs reaching the lower to middle 50s and overnight lows only dropping to the mid-40s to low 50s. Wednesday will bring even warmer conditions with highs in the lower 60s before a cold front passes through Wednesday night.
