She’s yet to fire up her campaign or even jump into the race, but if the 2026 Democratic U.S. Senate primary were held today, U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley would narrowly carry the day.

Pressley, D-7th District, holds a narrow 34.5% to 34% lead over incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., in a Boston Globe/Suffolk University poll released Tuesday.

U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton, D-6th District, who has made the 79-year-old incumbent’s age and half-century tenure on Capitol Hill an organizing principle of his candidacy, trailed at 16.3% in the poll of 230 Democratic primary voters.
