A 64-year-old woman was struck and injured by gunfire while she was walking in Upper Manhattan on Monday afternoon, NYPD officials said.
The woman was near West 204th Street and Broadway in Inwood around 4:30 p.m. when she said she saw a group of young people walking nearby, according to police. One of them fired a 9mm round in her direction, which struck her in her left buttock.
The alleged shooter fled southbound on Broadway and the woman was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition, police said.
Officials said they’re still investigating the shooting and haven't made any arrests yet.
