The opening date has been revealed for a food-to-go Greggs at a town petrol station.

The Greggs will be opening on Thursday, November 27, at the Field Road Service Station in Mildenhall.

With a post on Facebook, the Field Road Service Station said: "We look forward to welcoming customers and being part of the community."

In March, planners backed proposals by Motor Fuel Group Limited to develop on an "under utilised" parcel of land at the petrol station.

Last year, the firm sought permission from West Suffolk Council to build a food-to-go pod, three jet washes and car parking.

The development received only one objection from the public, with the resident fearing it could lead to an increase in noise and rubbish.
