CHARLESTON, W.Va. –The holiday season is here, and it’s bringing another busy travel season with it.
Jim Garrity, Director of Public Affairs for the American Automobile Association (AAA), said travelers can expect the heaviest congestion on the Tuesday and Wednesday evenings before Thanksgiving, as well as on the Sunday after the holiday.
However, he said there will still be a large number of travelers on the road.
“There’s going to be a lot of folks out, a record-setting amount of people, nearly 82 million across the country, millions coming through this area alone, no matter where you’re going the vast majority of people are driving, you should give yourself plenty of time,” Garrity said.
