Michael Apostolakos, chief medical officer of University of Rochester Medical Center, said anyone six months or older should get the flu vaccine. “We’re expecting a moderate to severe flu season and the vaccination is the best method to prevent the flu or if you get the flu it will reduce the severity and your risk of getting admitted to the hospital,” Apostolakos said.
