FKA Twigs, Sturgill Simpson to Star in New Thriller 'The Lonely Woman'

FKA Twigs , Sturgill Simpson , and others will star in The Lonely Woman , an upcoming thriller written and directed by electronic duo Boy Harsher .

Set in rural New England, The Lonely Woman follows a woman whose first love died in a mountain tunnel, and becomes engrossed in a new disappearance. It also stars Chloë Sevigny, singer-songwriter Bonnie “Prince” Billy ( Will Oldham ), and others.

The Lonely Woman will mark Boy Harsher’s first feature film, which they’ll also supply the soundtrack for. The duo — Augustus Muller and Jae Matthews — first directed the 2022 short The Runner . The film recently completed principal photography in Upstate New York, and is expecting to be released next year.
