Tempe Diablos Charities hosted their fifth annual Feed the Need event on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Frank Elementary School in Guadalupe, continuing a cherished tradition of helping families in need enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal together.
This year, the Diablos provided 300 Thanksgiving meals to Guadalupe families. Guadalupe sits between Tempe and Ahwatukee, with a population of just over 5,000.
According to Data USA , more than 22% of Guadalupe residents live below the poverty line, making initiatives like Feed the Need critical for local families. The event brought together volunteers, community leaders, and supporters in a shared spirit of generosity and holiday cheer.
“Feed the Need is one of the most meaningful events we host each year,” said Tempe Councilmember Randy Keati
