Two exceptional Robert Thompson "Mouseman" 1930s dining tables used by Leeds pupils for decades have sold for a record-breaking £78,000.
One of the tables, auctioned by Hawleys auctioneers in North Cave, East Yorkshire , fetched a staggering £42,000. The price paid for the 1937 6m (19.7ft)-long table, crafted from a single piece of oak, represented a "world record price for a piece of Mouseman with a Yo
