The final member of a large drug trafficking organization operating in Alabama’s Wiregrass region has been sentenced to federal prison, closing a multi-year investigation led by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and multiple local law enforcement partners.

On November 4, 2025, 45-year-old Terrell Edwards of Ozark received a 240-month sentence after being convicted by a jury of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Edwards will also serve three years of supervised release. Federal inmates are not eligible for parole.

The sentencing wraps up a case launched in early 2023 when law enforcement began investigating drug trafficking activity linked to 46-year-old Terrance Edwards, also of Ozark. Authorities determined that
