KIRKLAND, Wash. — Downtown Kirkland is getting into the holiday spirit as WinterFest returns to Kirkland Urban Plaza this Saturday, November 29, from 4 to 8 p.m.
The free event will transform the plaza into a festive winter wonderland, featuring live music, costumed performers, and live ice sculpting. Organizers say the goal is to bring more families and visitors back downtown to celebrate the season together.
Guests can enjoy a wide variety of activities, including free photos with Santa in his sleigh, pictures with holiday characters, and live holiday performances. Buoy, a fan-favorite mascot from the Seattle Kraken, will also be on-site Sunday for community skating. The ice rink opens Nov. 26 and runs through Jan. 11.
