LAS VEGAS — Iowa State basketball guard Tamin Lipsey will miss the Cyclones' game against Creighton on Tuesday, Nov. 25. He is out with a groin injury, according to a school spokesperson.
The Cyclones senior injured his groin with 2:09 remaining in Iowa State's 83-82 win over St. John's during the team's Players Era Festival opener on Monday.
The Iowa State spokesperson specified that it is not the same groin injury Lipsey sustained towards the end of last season.
Lipsey had 16 points, five assists and a steal against St. John's in Monday's game. He did not return after exiting the game with the injury.
Through five games this season, Lipsey is averaging 18.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.2 steals per game, while shooting 50.7% overall. Need a news break? Check out
