It has been a year since the town council adopted the first-ever Ready and Resilient Barrington climate action plan. So, how is the town doing with the plan?
Members of the Barrington Town Council asked for a summary of the town’s progress with the plan at its one-year anniversary. Barrington Director of Planning Herb Durfee offered a summary — he mentioned tree-plantings , flood awareness, green infrastructure and more. The plan consists of 42 actions covering community resilience, energy use, infrastructure and transportation, natural resources, and waste.
