EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A Cuyahoga County jury found another suspect guilty Tuesday in connection with the kidnapping, torture, and murder of Alishah Pointer, 22.
Hakeem-Ali Shomo, 34, will soon be sentenced on charges of aggravated murder, murder, felonious assault, kidnapping, conspiracy and having weapons under disability.
Shomo is the sixth person charged in connection to Pointer’s death in November 2021. His sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 7, 2026.
Prosecutors said the others — Anthony Bryant, 22, Brittany Smith, 36, Nathaniel Poke, 26, Destiny Henderson, 21, and Portria Williams, 34 — will be sentenced on various charges at a later time.
