TAOS — A woman was found beaten and gagged in a Ranchos de Taos home Saturday, according to the Taos County Sheriff's Office.
Jorge Montoya, 55, was charged with multiple felonies after deputies found what they described as a severely beaten woman who was bound and barely conscious inside the residence.
Deputies had responded to a report of a domestic violence incident at 35 Amorak Road in Ranchos de Taos, according to news release the sheriff's office issued Monday. A caller reported to Taos Central Dispatch they had “heard a female voice crying for help."
