Location matters when you're an Olympic hopeful. Brooklyn DePriest's family traded their perfect neighborhood for a shot at Olympic gold.

"There was probably about 10 families involved in the neighborhood that we were all a part of, and we got to hang out with friends every single day. We would ride to school on our bikes and skateboards every single day, " DePriest said.

The DePriests spent their weekends two hours away in Tahoe, where their boys were on the snowboard team at Northstar California Resort .
