In a move that is not so surprising, the New Orleans Saints have released kicker Blake Grupe, who has struggled tremendously this season, missing a total of eight kicks through 11 games including two on Sunday afternoon against the Atlanta Falcons.
The 27-year-old was signed by Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2023, beating out veteran kicker Wil Lutz for the starting position. Unfortunately, this season saw Grupe fall to the bottom of the stat list. He has made just 73.9% of his kicks, ranking 36th in the league, although he has been perfect on extra points.
