ALLEN, Ny. ( WWSB ) — An Englewood man has been charged with second-degree murder after authorities say he shot and killed his two brothers during a family hunting trip in upstate New York.

Scott Thompson, 65, was arrested after the shooting at a cabin in Allen, New York State Police said. The victims, both from the Suncoast area, were in their late 60s and 70s.

Police said Thompson called 911 around 10 p.m. the night of the murders, reporting that the three brothers had been arguing after drinking. The argument escalated into a physical altercation, investigators said.

Thompson then shot and killed his brothers with a rifle, according to police.
