Queen Maxima’s Indonesian trip started out with an airport greeting in patterned slip-ons.

The queen of the Netherlands made a trip to Jakarta on Monday. She’s using the trip to fulfill her duties as the U.N. Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health, promoting financial wellness and speaking to various representatives, organizations and business owners about policy, plus financial products and services.

For the first day of her trip, Queen Maxima was greeted at the airport wearing black loafers from Banana Republic . Her sensible shoes got a subtle pop of embellishment with embroidered white polka dots covering the entire loafer that popped against the stark black of the shoe.
