Selena Gomez's mother-in-law survived a break-in at her Los Angeles home that could have been a scene from the actress/singer's hit mystery show "Only Murders in the Building."

Sandra Levin, the mother of Gomez's husband, music producer Benny Blanco, was at her home in Studio City when two men wearing masks and dark clothing broke inside around 9:30 p.m. Monday through a sliding glass door on the side, NBC Los Angeles reported , citing police sources.
Levin heard the commotion and ran upstairs and hid in a bathroom inside a bedroom, police said.
Locked inside, Levin told police she heard the intruders walk upstairs and open the door to a bedroom.
When she peaked out, the intruders saw her and fled, police said.
