MICHIGAN, USA — If you’re traveling for Thanksgiving, expect to take it slow. Isolated portions of West Michigan will see lake-effect snow.
The highest impacts are expected along the I-94 corridor and up along US-10, where 5 to 7 inches of snow could fall from Wednesday evening through Thanksgiving Day.
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the following counties from Wednesday at 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday evening: Allegan, Barry, Calhoun, Kalamazoo, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Newaygo, Oceana & Van Buren.
A Winter Storm Advisory is in effect from Wednesday at 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday evening in the following counties: Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent, Montcalm and Ionia.
Travelers should expect slick roads and low visibility in snow bands.
