An expectant mother sought support from the Reddit community following a painful conflict that unfolded as she prepared to learn her baby’s gender.

She explained in her post that she only wanted to share the news with her own father and brother, writing, “I explicitly do not want to tell his mother,” after past experiences left her feeling dismissed and disrespected.
