KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department has released new details in the I-640 shooting that killed two men.
According to KPD, 27-year-old Dashonn Moten from Detroit has been indicted in the murders of 33-year-old Troy Hutchison and 25-year-old Rodrell Jeter on Nov. 16. He is not in custody, KPD said.
Investigators believe the victims were traveling with the Moten from Detroit to Atlanta, passing through Knoxville when the shooting happened. Police said they don't yet know the relationship between the victims and the suspect or what led to the shooting.
A Knox County grand jury returned a 17-count indictment against Moten. Those charges include two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of felony murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder for critically injuri
