SECOND ACTS: Retired Shamokin police chief continues to serve public

SUNBURY — One phone call from a friend in need brought Senior Deputy Northumberland County Sheriff Ed Griffiths back to work after retiring from a 25-year law enforcement career.

Griffiths, 64, who retired as the Shamokin police chief in 2014, was at home just a day after retiring when he recevied the call from Northumberland County Sheriff Bob Wolfe.
