RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - With Thanksgiving just days away, many are preparing to fill their plates with all the fixings, but local health experts want people to keep moderation in mind, especially since November is Diabetes Awareness Month.

Turkey, ham, green beans, potatoes and much more are about to be laid out on Thanksgiving tables this week.
