The Rochester Red Wings stadium could be getting a new name as Monroe County and the Red Wings seek a new naming sponsor. The county's previous deal was with Innovative Solutions which expired on Nov. 15.

Why the stadium name could change

The software company and Monroe County announced an agreement in 2022 to rename Frontier Field to Innovative Field. This deal made in 2022 will remain in effect until a new sponsor is secured.

Legislation was submitted by County Executive Adam Bello to execute a lease amendment with Rochester Community Baseball to serve as the marketing agent for the stadium while getting up to 18% of the stadium naming rights revenue.

The county will also continue to provide WiFi at the stadium for the remainder of the lease term.
