Ina Garten doesn’t want too many cooks in her kitchen.

Which is part of the reason she and husband Jeffrey Garten decided not to have kids early on in their relationship.

“I mean, it’s amazing to me that I made that decision so young, and that thank God Jeffrey was OK with it,” Ina told Amy Poehler in the Nov. 25 episode of Good Hang with Amy Poehler . “I just can’t imagine my life any other way I’ve done it. I’ve done what I wanted to do. I’ve had just a wonderful time.”

When asked what the best part about being childfree is, the Barefoot Contessa star told Amy, “Not being responsible for them. Not having teenagers.”
