A person has died after being hit by a Victoria line train at a central London Underground station.

British Transport Police was called to Green Park at 3.50pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance also attended and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

The Victoria line is currently experiencing severe delays with no service between Warren Street and Brixton.

In unrelated issues, the Bakerloo, District and Piccadilly lines also have delays adding to commuter misery.
