Youngstown Mayor-elect Derrick McDowell has selected his first round of cabinet positions.

McDowell has chosen the individuals who will fill the Chief of Staff, Law Director, and Director of Finance positions.

McDowell has chosen to retain Kyle Miasek as the City's Director of Finance, a role he has held since 2018.

Adam Buente, currently the Senior Assistant Law Director, has been appointed as the City's new Law Director and Jonathan Huff, who has worked as Youngstown's Civil Service Administrator since 2012, will assume the role of McDowell's Chief of Staff.

The media release states that the next round of announcements will include announcements for who will run the Youngstown police and fire departments.
