Jauan Jennings is vindicated.
At least, for now.
The NFL issued Panthers safety Tre’von Moehrig a one-game suspension for punching Jennings in the groin toward the end of the 49ers' 20-9 win over Carolina on Monday night at Levi's Stadium.
Moehrig will appeal the one-game suspension, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported shortly after news of the punishment, citing a source.
Jennings retaliated at midfield immediately after the game, appearing to strike Moehrig, before teammates and coaches pulled him away.
While Jennings will not be suspended, the NFL will review his actions for a possible fine.
