Amazon to invest additional $15B in Northern Indiana to build data centers
HOBART, Ind. -- Hobart Mayor Josh Huddlestun confirmed to ABC57 that the city has a pending agreement with Amazon to build a data center campus on 500 acres of land.
Huddlestun said if everything moves ahead, construction is expected to begin in spring 2026.
The city council will vote on language at their next meeting on Dec. 3.
The meeting will move this forward, but they will not finalize the agreement at that time.
