IOWA CITY — “If you want to win football games, come here.”
That Iowa vs. Nebraska rivalry-stoking quote came from Hawkeyes center Logan Jones on Nov. 25, the day he was named one of three finalists for the Outland Trophy , given to college football’s top interior lineman … and three days before the Hawkeyes go for their 10th win in the past 11 years against Nebraska.
Jones is very familiar with the Iowa-Nebraska rivalry, as a native of the Iowa-Nebraska border (on the Iowa side) in Council Bluffs, which is about 50 minutes from Lincoln.
