AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Marshal’s Office delivered Thanksgiving meals to families struggling to put food on the table as the holiday approaches.
The office partnered with Augusta Partnership for Children, Tuttle Newton House and the Richmond County School System to provide turkey dinners to 55 families this year.
“Augusta has a lot of need everywhere, whether it be people that are in an apartment that you would never think that they’re struggling at all, to that’s the obvious homeless person that’s behind a bush somewhere in a tent,” said Corporal Crystal Nason of the Richmond County Marshal’s Office. “You can’t judge a person just because they live in a nice apartment complex or they drive a nice car, because yesterday they may have been doing okay and today they’
