The wait for The Bear season 5 may prove easier to endure than the show’s fans were fearing.

The Hulu comedy series' Emmy-winning star Jeremy Allen White just offered a filming update, indicating that shooting on the new season will begin “ Very soon .” White doesn’t have the exact date pinned down, but was able to offer a rough estimate.

“ Jan. 5 or something like that ," White said when asked for information on when The Bear season 5 may get underway (via Variety ).

Centered on the continued exploits of White’s troubled chef Carmy and his efforts to keep afloat his chaos-ridden Chicago eatery, The Bear season 4 premiered on Hulu June 25, 2025 with a 10-episode drop and was announced to be renewed for season 5 just a week later.
