As Californians prep their homes to host Thanksgiving, the beloved bald eagle couple Jackie and Shadow of Big Bear have been busy working on their own in recent days, so to speak.
The celebrity birds have been spotted bringing sticks to their nest — they brought 28 sticks on Nov. 22 alone — ahead of the egg laying season for the region, which is January through April, according to the Friends of Big Bear Valley, which has provided updates on the pair's "nestorations" recently.
