MASON CITY, Iowa — It's twice the reason to give thanks. Sherry Zurn, a Mason City grandma, celebrated the birth of her twin great-great-grandchildren. This special occasion occurred 72 years after she gave birth to her own twin sons at the same hospital.
On November 23, Bria Ott and Cooper Reason of Nora Springs welcomed twins Taytum and Teagan, adding to the family's holiday joy. Zurn's granddaughter, Bria, brought the newest members into the world, echoing the surprise and excitement Zurn experienced decades ago.
Zurn originally went to the hospital unaware she was expecting twins, leading to the birth of her sons, Gary and Jerry. This holiday season, she finds herself reliving those cherished memories with her growing family.
