After a third suspicious fire in recent days, police have asked Strathroy residents to check their home and business security footage for any “suspicious activity” that might be linked to blazes near the downtown area.
The request for help from the public came Tuesday after Strathroy-Caradoc police said they were called to their third suspicious fire in recent days. It’s not clear yet whether they are all connected.
“At this point, police cannot determine whether the fires are related,” police officials said in a statement.
Police said they were called to a fire at the former Strathroy Brewing Company (also known as the 1812 Brewery) at 62 Albert St., near an old flour mill and the core of the community, just after 1 a.m. on Tuesday.
