DELAWARE COUNTY, Ohio — A Delaware County Court of Common Pleas judge has been asked by the court’s administrative judge to step away from his duties in light of “serious allegations” made against him. In addition, an assistant prosecutor has been removed from her cases.

Delaware County Court of Common Pleas judge Marianne Hemmeter released a statement saying she has reviewed serious allegations made against Judge James Schuck.

Meanwhile, Delaware County Prosecutor Melissa Schiffel said she received an anonymous letter on Oct. 31 alleging an improper relationship involving a sitting judge and an assistant county prosecutor who tried cases in his court.
