LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Just sixty minutes of football separates the Texas Tech Red Raiders (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) from making history-- appearing in their first-ever Big 12 Championship game. The one obstacle standing in their way is the West Virginia Mountaineers (4-7, 2-6 Big 12), who have been eliminated from postseason eligibility, but will treat Saturday’s game like their own ‘bowl game’.
While the Red Raiders could technically qualify for the conference championship if Arizona State loses on Friday, Tech coaches and players agree that it should come down to how they play this weekend- not what other teams are doing across the country.
