INDIANAPOLIS — While Tuesday is busiest day for Thanksgiving travel across the country in 15 years with 52,000 flights, according to the FAA , The Indianapolis International Airport says Wednesday will be the busiest day out of the week for them.
Airport officials say they expect around 30,000 to 40,000 people traveling in and out of the airport every day this week for Thanksgiving, with a large wave of travelers from 5 to 7 a.m., as well as 4 to 6 p.m.
This year, TSA at Indianapolis International says passengers can keep their shoes on at security. They also recommend to put loose items, such as phones, in your carry-on luggage.
For folks wanting to bring back any leftovers, TSA says if you can spray it, spread it or pour it, to put it in your checked baggage.
