Benny Blanco's mother, Sandra Levin, was reportedly forced to hide from intruders during a recent break-in at her home.
The incident happened in the Studio City neighbourhood of Los Angeles around 9.30pm, the Los Angeles Police Department told NBC Los Angeles.
The homeowner, whom law enforcement sources identified to the outlet as Blanco's mother, was home when two men broke in through a sliding glass door. The men were described as wearing dark-coloured clothing and masks.
According to the LAPD, the homeowner ran upstairs and locked herself in a bathroom located inside a bedroom. She heard the intruders walk upstairs and open a bedroom door. When she peeked around the bathroom door, the intruders saw her and ran away.
It's not clear if the men were armed. Nothing was taken from the scene, and no injuries were reported, according to the outlet.
The reported incident at Levin's home comes just shy of two months after Blanco tied the knot with actor and singer Selena Gomez in Santa Barbara, California.
The 27 September nuptials were attended by approximately 170 guests, including Levin and Blanco's father, Andrew Levin, plus other family members and many of the couple's celebrity friends.
Blanco is a record producer, songwriter, and artist who has written and produced hit songs for numerous pop stars. He is known for his collaborations with artists including Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Ed Sheeran.
