BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport will launch a new AI-powered parking system on December 3 that allows drivers to enter and exit the public parking garage without stopping for tickets.

The system, provided by Metropolis, uses cameras and artificial intelligence to identify vehicles by scanning license plates and noting unique features like bumper stickers or imperfections. The technology tracks entry and exit times and charges customers accordingly.

“Obviously, AI is a huge talking point right now across many different sectors.
