Ipswich Town attacker Chuba Akpom believes that his side’s 2-0 win at Hull City is one of their ‘most important’ of the season so far.
The Blues had to play through a tough first half where they struggled to click, mustering just two shots and failing to hit the target in the first 45 minutes.
But they improved after the break, with Marcelino Nunez opening the scoring before Akpom’s first Town goal wrapped up the three points at the MKM Stadium.
“It was a big win, one of the most important wins of the season, I’d say,” the 30-year-old said after the match.
“Coming here, it’s difficult to play and difficult to get points here. I’m glad we won.”
Akpom needed something to fall for him, especially after a frustrating display against Wrexham on Saturday.
