LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Wahoo Warriors defeated Sidney 20-6 to win the NSAA Class C1 State Football Championship.

Kip Brigham led the way for Wahoo, scoring two touchdowns and rushing for 86 yards on the day. Jase Kaminski passed for 89 yards including a 62 yard touchdown toss to Eli Shada.

The Warriors defense was the difference-maker in the game. Wahoo intercepted Sidney four times and kept them out of the end zone until the fourth quarter.

This is Wahoo’s second-straight state title and third in school history. Over the past three seasons, the Warriors have a combined record of 38-1.
