GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. —
An inmate in South Carolina pleaded guilty after prosecutors say he used a contraband cellphone to direct the sexual abuse of a 3-year-old.
On Tuesday, Jacob Lance pleaded guilty to charges of sexual conduct with a minor, sexual exploitation of a minor, and criminal conspiracy during a court appearance at the Greenville County Courthouse, following an investigation that uncovered contraband cellphones in his possession.
The attorney general’s office revealed that Lance used a contraband cellphone to initiate a romantic relationship with a woman in Simpsonville, directing her to sexually abuse her 3-year-old daughter.
Both Lance and the child's mother, Abbygale El Dier, who pleaded guilty in July, will be sentenced in December. The plea deals prevent the case f
