A 40-year-old New Jersey man who i nappropriately touched another passenger on a flight earlier this year was sentenced Thursday to eight months in federal prison.

Bhaveshkumar Dahyabhai Shukla, of the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany, is a citizen of India and will likely will be deported following his release from prison, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Montana said.

Shukla pleaded guilty to abusive sexual contact in July.

Shukla was flying from Bozeman, Montana, to Dallas on Jan. 26 aboard an American Airlines flight when he began to rub the woman’s leg near her hip pocket.

The woman first thought Shukla was trying to pick her pocket and got up to go to the bathroom.
