A Warren County man is being charged with forgery after he made and sold fake New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission inspection stickers, according to the county prosecutor’s office.

Thomas Luster, 57, of Washington, was charged with forgery, uttering a fraudulent document, criminal simulation and fake government documents, authorities said.

Luster was arrested on Nov. 20 following a four-month investigation that began when officers received information regarding counterfeit motor vehicle inspections being offered for sale.

The joint investigation was conducted by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office and the Washington Township Police Department, authorities said.
