Dallas Stars are ready to celebrate like it’s 1999.
On Tuesday, the Stars unveiled their new alternate jerseys that are inspired by their 1999 Stanley Cup championship sweaters.
The Stars made the announcement with a video of highlights throughout the 1999 championship run that ends with retired forward Brett Hull rocking the new sweater.
The jerseys feature the iconic star design in the current green and black color scheme. On the crest, the Stars original logo is stitched in silver and green.
Inside the collar, “3OT 1999” is written in honor of the triple-overtime Game 6 win against the Buffalo Sabres that clinched the team’s first Stanley Cup championship.
A patch of the state of Texas with a star and “D” on the inside is featured on the shoulder.
