COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus woman is recovering from injuries after a dog attack Sunday left her wounded and killed her two small dogs in North Linden.
"They were like my kids and now when I get up in the morning, I'm looking for them, they're not there," Rena Chaney said.
First responders were called around noon to an alley near Hiawatha Street and Weldon Avenue, where Chaney said the attack occurred.
Chaney said she was walking her two dogs, Teeni and Baby, in the alley when another dog jumped over a neighbor's fence and attacked.
"He immediately went to Baby and started chewing on her and biting her. And then he went to Teeni," Chaney said.
Chaney said the attacking dog then turned on her.
